  4.      Here are some scanner frequencies for the Southeast Connecticut and 
  5. Rhode Island areas. I've included five files. The first two are 
  6. Connfreq.wk3 and Connfreq.fm3 which are the database files that can be 
  7. used with Lotus 123 or Excel if you want to add to the list without 
  8. retyping all 800 entries :).

  11. The second file is agency.txt - a text file sorted by agency type
  12.  
  13. The third file is freqlist.txt- a text file sorted by the frequency number
  14.  
  15.  
  16. If you're looking for additional frequencies you might want to try 
  17. purchasing some books such as the "Official Connecticut Scanner Guide"
  18. by Coburn , "Aeronautical Frequency Directory" by Coburn,
  19. "Directory of North American Military Aviation Communications",Police Call
  20. Plus(avaible at Radio Shack),"Top Secret Registry of U.S. Government Radio

  40.      You might also want to consider joining the Bearcat Radio Club. For 
  41. about 30 bucks a year you get a subscription to "National Scanning Report"
  42. (A bi monthly magazine that deals exclusively with scanners),you also get
  43. a choice of a regional Betty bearcat freq directory or a Micro Fiche of 
  44. all the licensed FCC frequencies for your state(the Micro Fiche is the
  45. better deal). With the microfiche you can make printouts from any library.
  46. With the full membership you also get access to the Bearcat BBS to lookup

  54.      Another source of frequencies is the message areas on either
  55. Fidonet or the Internet. On fidonet checkout the Scanner and Frequency
  56. Discussion Area. On the internet check out the Newsgroups Rec.radio.scanner
  57. and alt.radio.scanner.

  59.      Also if your into monitoring the Aviation freqs like me you might
  60. want to get some air charts to use while monitoring. You can purchase 
  61. everything from sectional charts to high altitude charts
  62. (the ones the big jets use) from either
